Review highlights
Based on 649 reviewsNorthside BBQ is praised for its flavorful and generous portions, particularly their smoked chicken wings, brisket sandwiches, and ribs that are often described as tender and well-prepared. Customers appreciate the friendly and attentive service as well as the casual, clean indoor dining environment. The restaurant offers a variety of sides, with potato salad and baked beans receiving mixed feedback regarding portion sizes and ingredients. While some reviewers highlight excellent taste and quality, others note that the brisket leans toward a sauced, chopped style rather than traditional smoked cuts. Overall, Northside BBQ is regarded as a solid, approachable barbecue spot delivering satisfying meals at reasonable prices, making it a favored local choice for casual dining and takeout.
Smoked chicken wing special on Wednesdays. Got a extra side and a drink for $20. And it was excellent. Big and meaty wings.⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 5 stars to the 2 ladies working there Wednesdays June 4th at 3:40pm and same for the guy dish washer. You guys are awesome, great job. Everyone needs to come down and support this BBQ place. Awesome food with great service.
Great beef brisket sandwich! Guy taking orders was super polite and food was quick but of good quality. Used coleslaw side as a topping for the brisket sandwich, recommend doing this. They have an inside dining area that's well kept and rather large. We ordered to go but would definitely sit down to eat in the future. Sandwich size was generous and filling. They have meat you can purchase by itself (different weights if I remember correctly) which I thought was cool. Thanks, we'll definitely be back.
Best barbecue I think I’ve ever had! Highly recommend the Mississippi nachos! I would also highly recommend their ribs, they actually fall off the bone! One detail to add, I believe their potato salad has peas in it.
Brisket Sandwich made of chopped pre sauced meat. Moist and tasty with a hint of bark and no detectable smoke ring. Baked beans were well done and a little soupy. Potato salad had all the necessary crunchy bits but wasn’t much in container. Enjoyed the meal but not a destination if you are looking for elite brisket. Portions/ Price ratio was reasonable, you won’t leave hungry.
Nice bbq place. It is not a fancy place to eat. But the food is good.
FANTASTIC FOOD, me and my brother arrived after looking around for places to eat and the sign may be off putting but DO NOT let this discourage you from eating here, it is a old fashioned restaurant and the only thing that was disappointing was the fact that more people weren’t there. Prices are a little higher than normal but it’s a family owned business that’s trying to stay afloat, give them a break.
Got the Brisket and it was fantastic. I had beans, slaw and potato salad sides. Ended up taking half my dinner home for later. Coming back soon for the ribs.
